Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Western Horizon Technologies, Inc., operating under the Lizard Hill Hosting name (“WHT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal data associated with our websites, customer accounts, hosting services, billing, and support.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

We collect information needed to create and administer an account, process an order, communicate with you, and provide support. This may include your name, organization, postal address, email address, telephone number, account credentials, billing preferences, service selections, support messages, and information you choose to include in a ticket or other communication.

Stripe or PayPal processes payment-card or payment-account information. We receive transaction identifiers, payment status, limited payment-method details, and other information needed for billing and fraud prevention. Cheque payments may provide payer, bank, and remittance information appearing on the cheque.

Information collected automatically

Our systems collect technical and security information such as IP address, date and time, requested URL, browser and device information, referring page, session identifiers, authentication events, server and application logs, resource usage, and security alerts. We use cookies and similar storage for login sessions, shopping-cart state, preferences, security, and essential site functionality.

Referrals and campaign attribution

If you participate in our referral program, we store a sharing-link token, the referring and referred billing-account relationship, the qualifying order and invoice, eligibility checks, and credit status. We use these records to administer rewards, reconcile payments, and prevent duplicate or fraudulent awards. A referrer’s portal shows reward totals, not a referred customer’s identity, domain, or payment details.

Referral links and allowlisted campaign labels may be retained in the current shopping session and attached to an order for first-party attribution and aggregate reporting. We do not add a separate long-lived referral tracking cookie or collect advertising click identifiers through this implementation. Following a referral link does not automatically send a marketing email.

Hosted content

We process websites, databases, email, files, logs, backups, and other content placed on our systems by customers or their users. For this content, the customer generally determines what is collected and why; we process it to provide, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and back up the service or as required by law.

2. How we use information

We use personal data to provide and administer services; authenticate users; process payments; send invoices and service communications; provide support; maintain backups; monitor capacity and performance; prevent fraud, spam, abuse, and security incidents; enforce agreements; comply with law; and improve the reliability and usability of our services. We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party targeted advertising.

3. When information is disclosed

We disclose personal data only as reasonably necessary:

  • Stripe: to process card payments, manage payment status, and prevent payment fraud.
  • PayPal: to process PayPal payments, manage payment status, and prevent payment fraud.
  • Google reCAPTCHA: to distinguish legitimate activity from automated abuse on protected forms; Google may receive IP address, browser, device, interaction, and related technical data under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Legal and safety matters: when required by valid legal process or reasonably necessary to investigate fraud or abuse, protect people or systems, enforce agreements, or defend legal rights.
  • Business transactions: as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of relevant assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

We do not share customer data with unrelated third parties for their independent marketing.

4. Retention

We retain account, billing, support, referral-credit, and transaction records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and comply with law. Security and operational logs are retained according to operational need. Provider off-site backups are maintained for disaster recovery; actual retention and restore-point availability depend on the backup system and retained data, not a guaranteed customer daily-restore schedule. Data may remain in a backup until that backup expires through the normal retention cycle.

5. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed for the nature of the information and services involved. No Internet transmission, storage system, or backup can be guaranteed completely secure. Customers are responsible for protecting their credentials, maintaining their applications, and using available security features.

6. Your choices and privacy requests

You may review and update much of your account information through the client area. You may also request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of personal data, or ask a question about our practices, by using our contact form or emailing support@lizardhill.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority. Certain information may be retained when required by law or needed for security, fraud prevention, billing records, dispute resolution, or establishment of legal claims.

Where applicable, you may appeal a decision about a privacy request by replying to the decision and stating that you wish to appeal. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

7. Cookies and browser controls

Essential cookies support authentication, account security, preferences, and shopping-cart functionality. Blocking them may prevent parts of the website or client area from working. We do not currently use personal data for third-party targeted advertising or sell it, so we do not offer a sale or targeted-advertising opt-out.

8. Children

Our services are not directed to children under thirteen, and we do not knowingly collect personal data directly from a child under thirteen without legally sufficient authorization. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal data to us improperly.

9. Security incidents

If a security incident affects personal data, we will investigate and provide notices to affected persons and government authorities when required by applicable law.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as services, vendors, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate.
