Create and deploy a Git repository in DirectAdmin

Use account-scoped repositories without putting secrets or untested code online.

  1. Open DirectAdmin’s Git management screen and choose the target domain.
  2. Create a repository or use the supported remote-repository import workflow. Keep repository credentials in the supported secure settings, not in public URLs or source files.
  3. Choose the intended branch and a deployment path you understand. Confirm the target before deploying: deployment can replace website files.
  4. Keep secrets, database exports, uploads, dependency caches, and local configuration outside Git or excluded appropriately. A .git directory must not be publicly downloadable.
  5. Test in a staging directory/site before deploying to production. Take a backup and have a rollback commit and database plan.

Git management permission is available on every public hosting plan. SSH shell access is a separate feature: Business, Business Plus, and Business Pro include it; Personal does not. Git availability is not a managed deployment, CI/CD, or continuous uptime guarantee.
